IAM Quality Assurance and Certification Claiming Process1. It is the centre's responsibility to ensure that all work submitted for assessment is the candidate's own work. 2. When a candidate has passed all the internal assessments, and completed an e-portfolio of at least six pieces of coursework from a range of subjects, their e-portfolio is ready for external verification. If a candidate is entered for the mandatory unit they will need to have completed the online review of their portfolio from the support website. 3. The centre internally assesses, through the Marking Engine, that all exercises have been achieved. This information is recorded on the centre Summary of Teaching Group report. 4. The centre internally assesses that all coursework is fit for purpose. 5. Every candidate claims the appropriate National Occupational Standard Skills achieved against each coursework piece of evidence, and records this information on their Coursework Pro-forma below.
6. The centre is responsible for ensuring that all candidates claiming certification have submitted at least six pieces of work where there is evidence of a skill at the level of the qualification e.g. level 2 for the Cerificate. 7. The centre must keep a record of the internal verification of all candidate e-portfolios. This record can be indicated on the Coursework pro-forma in column 'I'.
8. 15% - 20% of candidate portfolios recommended by the centre for achievement of the qualification must be sent to Londonlearning as requested... For each candidate, the centre must send the following: a) Six pieces of evidence of ICT skills application from a range of subjects. In addition the online record of internal assessment of exercises must be kept in the centre. Canidate evidence should be uploaded in the Lonodnlearning CMS or burnt on to a Compact Disc and posted to Londonlearning (Guernsey) Ltd at their UK office address: LL(G) Ltd, Shaftsbury Heights, 43 Sixpenny Close, Poole Dorset BH12 4BF. Centres should e-mail LL when this is done. 9. The External Verifier carries out their verification process and records their decision on the candidate's Coursework Pro-forma. When the External Verifier has completed their task, they notify IAM and the centre of the results. The centre then confirms the list of candidates who are to achieve their certificates to LL, and IAM dispatch certificates to the centre accordingly. 10. A centre must keep a record of candidate's e-portfolios and Internal Verification records for a minimum of three years. 11. LL produces an annual report to IAM on the qualification performance, candidate achievement and the assessment process. |
