Modelling Quality
Modelling quality is showing learners the learning
strategies and goals. It is important not to confuse
instructions about how the lesson will be implemented
with modelling quality, information about the learning.
Assessment criteria are often defined in formal language
that may not be clear to the pupil, so it is important
to share with learners, examples of anonymous work that
do, and do not meet the learning objective so that they
can see the standards they are to aim for. Learners
who study the completed work of others will develop
their reflective skills and find out what it is like
to take an active part in the assessment process.
